Thanksgiving is quite near All is well and all is pretty, grandmother is at her knitting. Okay, yeah it doesn't rhyme in some places... Halloween isn't exactly my favorite time of year, but here are some cute craft ideas to try. CROCHET PUMPKINS With orange yarn, do the magic circle and double crochet 12 sts into the center of it. Pull the other end of yarn tight. Double crochet 2 into each stitch. Next round: Slip stitch and crochet 2 into every other stitch, with the others, crochet 1. At the end of the row, slip stitch. Change to green yarn and chain 4. Cast off and weave in ends. I had a BLAST with these pumpkins. Try different colors and sizes. Tip: For a jackolantern, weave some black yarn into the middle into a face shape!
GOHST SACKS Glue or tape white paper onto both sides of a paper bag. Draw eyes and a mouth with a black drawing utensil. Make lots of them with different faces! |
