This is becoming kind of like a travel blog, because I go on a lottt of trips! Anyway, This trip was for my aunt's wedding, Check out my cute Jr Bridesmaid hairstyle: (above) This is the stick fort I built when we were camping. In Yellowstone we walked on a boardwalk and saw all of the pools and geysers. My favorite pool is the sapphire pool, (shown above) because it is such a brilliant blue. It is this beautiful blue because it is so hot, no algae can grow except for the blue algae. This is old faithful. It looks like a marshmallow creme volcano when it erupts. I think it's nice because It's predictable, unlike some geysers that can erupt in between 10 and 50 years. That's a long wait!

My favorite thing to do at big zoos nationwide, is to go to the Budgie Encounter, or whatever they call it. I just love budgies! They are so cute and smart, they're fun to perch on your finger, and they come in many beautiful colors. (above) This is an interesting budgie that is green, yellow, and blue. It is currently feasting on dropped millet. (a type of grain that budgies like to eat) This is me holding a cockatiel and feeding it millet. Cockatiels are in the parakeet family along with budgies. They are grey, yellow, and have red 'cheeks'. Here is a pied budgie, (pied is his color and pattern type) so busy eating his yummy treat that you can only see his back and his tail! If the camera were facing the other direction, you would notice that his head is a light airy blue with a touch of yellow below his beak and he has black bars on his forehead indicating his age. (Completely white head for an old budgie, bars will fade away when the birds get older.
I was going into the barn to feed the cats, when I saw a little skinny kitten eating the other cats' leftover food. She ran into a crack when she saw me. I poured a third plate of cat food for her. The other cats waltzed in to come eat as usual, but then they sensed the new kitty, they hissed at her. I made the other kitties eat in another place from then on. The internet can tell lies sometimes, but what I read about kittens needing kitten food wasn't. We went to the store to get some for her. The kitten whom I named Skipper, ate heartier when she ate the kitten food. Week by week, bit by bit, I began to tame her. By week 2 of our month long visit, she was tame enough for you to scratch her belly and pat her back. By week 3, she was tame enough to be picked up and come inside. We took her to the vet, found out that she was officially a female cat, and she was 4 months old. She had some kind of ear infection, so I had to squirt some goop in her ears two times a week. She got better eventually.
1. A room is a place where you can escape, unravel, and be alone. When children share a room, their escape is spoiled by the other sibling's unnecessary chatter and presence. Without a room of their own, children have no place to be alone and secure.
2. Sharing a room can lead to stress, fatigue, and even depression. 3. Sharing a room is just plain ANNOYING. Fighting over who gets to use which closet, "His stuff's on my side", etc. 4. It's noisy for the parents! When kids share a room they are more likely to fight, so parents have to spend more time stopping them. 5. Bad grades. When there is a noisy sibling in the room, it's hard to focus on homework. |
