Hello, in this post I want to share with you some warmups I do everyday, especially before sports practice, or dance class. Meditate.Breathe in and out, imagine being by the sea, breathing in the salty air, hearing the waves, and then imagine lying down in a big grassy field and feeling the breeze blow on your face StretchPretend you're a dolphin, pretend you're a snake, pretend you're a tree.
Guess what? No, I don't have a hampster. Guess again! No, I didn't win the Nobel Peace Prize. Oh, I guess I'll have to tell you. Me and the kids at church all organized a theatre group. Okay, this started a long time ago...
when I was 6. I had this shakesphere book and I wanted to do a play that was in it. I wrote the lines on some paper. One kid... well one kid quit 'cause he had stage fright and no one remembered their lines... it was a mess! So we quit and just did regular things at church again. A year or so later, we decided to try again. I wrote the script on my computer and showed it to the kids. They loved it! This time, I made an adaption of a fairytale from java. We practiced at church, we practiced at the home-meeting, and finally the day came. We all got our costumes together and performed it! It was... okay. There were a few flaws such as, my brother broke my pearl necklace, my brother frogot his prop, there was no Wi-Fi so I couldn't play the music... but that was ok. We had a cast party at the end. Now wer'e doing Winter Spreads Her Shawl which is about a ten-minute play. The kids are great actors. We are thinking about doing this play more professionaly so we made a website! Click the button on the bottom to go to it! Yeah, I encourage you to download stuff, do the poll, and comment on the blog! It snowed- again! This time deeper though! In this post are some fun ideas to do in snow. Snow Cones These are easy and simple to make, you can add your own ingredients and flavorings, this is just what I did. Go outside and find some clean snow. Scoop it up into a cup. Put the cup in the freezer, then gather your ingredients. (I used stevia and redhots) Get the snow cups out of the freezer and add the stevia, and it's really important to mix it. Otherwise it will be sweet in one spot and not any others. Then, plunk in the redhots! If you want, add some food coloring, though if you use redhots, it will turn pink or red. Now, store it in the freezer if you aren't serving it right away, or dig in! Spray-Color Snow This post is for you if you think plain snow is boring! Step 1, Fill a spray-bottle full with water. Add a few drops of food coloring. Step 2, Go outside! Step 3, Find a clear patch of snow and squirt your pictures or messages! In the picture above you can barely see my message! (Plus it's dark out) so I reccomend using bright or dark colors! Tip: If you can't see your message at all try squatting down and spraying while you're close to the patch of snow. (I don't know why that works, it just does. :) Hot Chocolate This is my fvavorite! And it's very simple too! Step 1, Pour about two tablespoons of hot water into a mug. Step 2, Put one tablespoon of Xylitol (that's what I used) or Sugar in the mug. Step 3, Put two tablespoons of cocoa powder in. Step 4, Fill it to the brim with milk! Step 5, Drink it. Ahhh! I was browsing a website called Scratch when I found this BRILLIANT thing... The whale follows your mouse around, don't forget to click the flag first! Bizzare, huh?
These are super easy and fun to make as gifts! Step 1, Grab some hand soap and a cute shaped ice-cube tray, note you will need to clean it afterwards. Step 2, Pump the hand soap into the cups of the ice-cube tray. If you're making 1, pump it into 1. If you want you can add a drop of food coloring. Step 3, This step is SO easy! Pop the tray into the freezer!
Step 4, Waiiiiit.... this will take a few hours. Step 5, When they are solid, pop them out, admire them, wrap them in aluminum foil and put them in the freezer if you're not giving them right away. Tip: Store in the freezer so they won't be a sticky mess! To use: remove the foil and plop in the tub. Hope you enjoyed this tutorial! My dad hand paints wallpaper and I mean hand paints. He puts on rubber gloves and massages the paint into the paper! Sometimes the tables they work on are textured, this makes the paper look textured too. I got to go and see it! Above, is the drying rack, very pretty paper! Some wood-art was on display. And as you can see, they have started decorating for the holiday season already. Then, all of a sudden I saw the sponges and rollers! They just make you want to squish 'em! Then I saw these creepy antlered humans with colored faces. They're cool though! Shiny hair! Then there were some people playing music, don't you just like that ukulele? Their spray bottles, the floor, the mallets, the tables, even the inside of the trashcans are covered in paint! A lady was selling pretty jewlry, and this pendant caught my eye, it looks like a landscape. I asked if it was natural that it looked like that, and she said it was. Amazing, isn't it!
I didn't have any money to buy presents... so I made them! You can get the recipes and instructions for them in other posts. Anyway, my first present was a bath melt. It's basically liquid soap frozen solid. At least my version is. Here's the link to it: Second, gummi bears, no I didn't make them, I bought them at the coffe shop for fifty cents! I jazzed up an old mint tin with a handmade paper label and some cute bear drawings, I put the gummi bears in that. Next, was a rainbow scarf, I knitted it. Here's the link:
