I was going into the barn to feed the cats, when I saw a little skinny kitten eating the other cats' leftover food. She ran into a crack when she saw me. I poured a third plate of cat food for her. The other cats waltzed in to come eat as usual, but then they sensed the new kitty, they hissed at her. I made the other kitties eat in another place from then on. The internet can tell lies sometimes, but what I read about kittens needing kitten food wasn't. We went to the store to get some for her. The kitten whom I named Skipper, ate heartier when she ate the kitten food. Week by week, bit by bit, I began to tame her. By week 2 of our month long visit, she was tame enough for you to scratch her belly and pat her back. By week 3, she was tame enough to be picked up and come inside. We took her to the vet, found out that she was officially a female cat, and she was 4 months old. She had some kind of ear infection, so I had to squirt some goop in her ears two times a week. She got better eventually.

I like to think of the cats "waltzing."
