It is March! And everything is starting to bud and bloom. I thought it would be fun to experiment with cut flowers and food coloring. This is usually tried with carnations, but I didn't have any, so I used narcissuses. And I got interesting results over a few days. Here is how to do it: find a clear jar or glass and fill 3/4 of the way with water. Add 2-4 drops food coloring. I tried this with blue. Feel free to experiment and try another color! Teeny dots along the edges of the petals! So cute! I let the flowers soak for quite a while, they didn't get any more colorful, they just got droopy and wrinkly. This is fun to try with kids. Results will show up in 2-3 days.
